A coalition of climate, education and public health organisations, concerned that hundreds of schools burn fossil fuels for heating, are calling for the government to commit to funding a fast transition to 100% renewable energy in all of our schools & wider state-sector by 2025. The coalition includes Parents for Climate Aotearoa, School Strike 4 Climate, NZEI Te Riu Roa, Coal Action Network Aotearoa, OraTaiao: New Zealand Climate and Health Council, and 350 Aotearoa.
