Why Leave Twitter/X?
Twitter (now known as X) has changed significantly, and not for the better. It has increasingly become a space where hate speech and climate disinformation are spreading unchecked. According to The Atlantic, the platform has allowed white supremacy and misinformation to thrive. As an organisation committed to climate justice and intersectional equity, we cannot support platforms that enable hate and dehumanising narratives.
Our mission is to engage in honest, impactful conversations – and right now, Bluesky is the better place to do that.
No More Ad Spending on Meta Platforms
We’re also making a bold move by ending all ad spending on Meta’s platforms. Why? Because we can’t justify supporting platforms that fuel misinformation and harm. We stand in solidarity with those demanding ethical digital spaces and are committed to speaking truth to power.
We know this decision might make it harder to reach people with our campaigns, but it’s the right thing to do. We’re determined to navigate these challenges while staying true to our values.
