Today, we heard some cool stories from folks in Nelson and Motueka about their actions.
And we must say – wow! The energy and creativity coming from these both places is really amazing, with all their signs and pictures, and polar bear, and everything else. Well done, and we hope this is just the beginning.
Also, we are constantly adding pictures to our Facebook picture galleries – there are two now! One with pics from all the local events we know of and have pictures from, and the other with all the individual calls on Westpac (there are over 100 people now!)
SO WHAT HAPPENED IN NELSON AND MOTUEKA?
Nelson group did an action outside of Trafalgar St Westpac branch, displaying signs and posters, getting people to take pictures with their individuals calls on Westpac and telling those who are passing by how Westpac is funding climate destruction. Take a look at their pictures – isn’t that polar bear cool? Here’s also an article on stuff.co.nz about what they did. By the way, they have a pretty cool video posted on Facebook, too!

Motueka had a similar action outside one of their Westpac branches, and they have a Facebook picture gallery, too.
