Upcoming Projects
We’ve already shown we can do a lot with a little (see here for our past projects) and this is just the beginning! We have plenty of enthusiasm and passion and we'll be doing even more in the coming year!
In December, 350 Aotearoa along with our friends from Generation Zero are going to run the BIGGEST youth climate summit New Zealand has ever seen! A 3-day summit with inspiring speakers, workshops and actions with over 1000 young people from around New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. Read more here, or check back soon for updates!
In the run up to Powershift NZ-Pacific we'll be outreaching here in NZ to Pacific Island communities. We've recently recruited an ace organiser - Koreti - who'll be helping us run a workshop in South Auckland and one in Wellington. These will focus on recruiting people for Powershift and generally raise the issue of climate change amongst these communities. We'll also be connecting with the growing 350 Pacific crew to make sure we can amplify their voices about the impacts of climate change here in NZ and around the world.
There's plenty we can all do at the local level to fight climate change and transform our communities from the ground up. Over the coming year we'll also be running workshops to train people to build local 350 teams and educate and advocate for solutions in your community. local.350.org.
