Fossil Free UoA is a student society at the University of Auckland asking the university to divest from the fossil fuel industry, and establish a socially responsible investment policy.

First and foremost, we’re committed to showing UoA that it’s time for them to act on divestment and socially responsible investment, and we want you to be a part of the change.

Furthermore, we focus on raising awareness about why it’s a strategic move for universities like UoA to take their money out of the fossil fuel industry. Essentially, this is because divestment makes environmental, economic, and ethical sense.
