We are looking for 67 special people
Here in New Zealand and around the world the 350 movement has grown like crazy. It's great! But it also means we need continuing resources to co-ordinate our work here in New Zealand, to make it better, stronger, and even more effective. So, we have to do something we don’t much like -- ask for money.
Funds raised so far for 350 Aotearoa have come from a number of small grants and a handful of generous supporters. To support our work over the next 12 months and beyond, the NZ team has set a target to find 100 regular givers to raise $20,000 which will cover a lot of our costs. We’ve got 12 fabulous people who donate on a regular basis. This means we are now looking for an extra 88 67 special people.

We are asking for your help in this way because it means a guarantee of a reliable ongoing income stream. With this we’ll be able to make some solid plans for growth in the next 12 months. Knowing we have you on our side as a regular giver, we can spend less time thinking up ways to fundraise - and get on with the more important and urgent work of fighting climate change!
We’ve already shown we can do a lot with a little (see for yourself here). But, with your special support we can do even more.
More, such as increase this movement from 5,000 New Zealand supporters to 10,000! Imagine what kind of action we can collectively take if this many people are all doing what they can to highlight and stop climate change.
We are also helping bring Powershift to New Zealand -- it will be the biggest youth climate summit this country has ever seen. 1,000 young people from around the country and the Pacific will come together for three days to learn about climate change and then launch a large national climate campaign. Plus, we have plenty of other campaigns and actions in train.
350.org is built on the concept that with the right tools and inspiration, people around the world will rise to the challenge of the climate crisis.
